The CREST Enrichment Partnership serves the communities of Lawrence, Andover, Boxford, Haverhill, North Andover, Methuen and Middleton with a wide range of innovative academic enrichment and leadership building programs benefiting more than 12,000 students in grades K-12. Started in 1985, these programs are designed to:

  • Nurture the social and cultural bonds between the communities
  • Challenge, develop and showcase students’ skills and talents
  • Provide new opportunities for students to explore, develop and succeed
  • Reinforce the educational goals of the participating schools

Through the enrichment programs, students challenge their prejudgments, discover their unique talents and common bonds, and unite their energy to improve themselves and their communities.

Enrichment Partnership mission is: “To build bridges among our communities and create opportunities for all students to succeed.”

Programming is developed, implemented and reviewed with the assistance of advisory committees consisting of principals, supervisors, teachers and parents from the participating school districts: Andover, Greater Lawrence Technical School, Lawrence, and Methuen. Enrichment Partnership also collaborates with many local agencies and organizations. Enrichment Partnerships include:

Fundamental to the concept of the CREST’s Enrichment Partnership is the benefit to be derived from socializing, working, playing, performing and being recognized with students from other communities. Discovering common goals and interests and working together for a common purpose with people from different backgrounds help to bridge social barriers and build cross-cultural understanding. The social, economic, cultural and ethnic diversity within our larger community demands that such goals be addressed. The Enrichment Partnership strives to provide a positive model for individuals and communities to work together effectively for the benefit of all.

The Enrichment Partnership has received several honors, including a “Make a Difference Day” Award from USA Today and the Points of Light Foundation, a joint citation by the mayors of Lawrence, Methuen and Haverhill for “building partnerships to make our communities a better place to live,” a Multicultural Achievement Award from the Massachusetts Department of Education, and recognition in a Brown University publication resulting in replication of one of our programs by three communities in Connecticut. Our funding comes from the participating school districts, foundations, corporations, service organizations, PTOs, parent groups, fees, and individuals.
