The Collaborative for Regional Educational Services and Training (CREST) was first organized in July of 1974 under the name Greater Lawrence Educational Collaborative. It is a consortium of the school districts of Amesbury, Andover, Dracut, Georgetown, Greater Lawrence Technical School, Haverhill, Ipswich, Lawrence, Lowell, Masconomet Regional, Methuen, Newburyport, North Andover, Pentucket Regional, Triton, and Tritown School Union. CREST is a 501(c)(3) public entity under the jurisdiction of its member school committees, whose superintendents and school committee members comprise its governing board.
The overall budget is $15.5 million for FY16. Revenues are generated through tuitions and services delivered to students in member and non-member communities. Students hail from over 36 cities and towns in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. We have 180 staff members who provide services from educational to therapeutic to medical. We are always seeking space opportunities in our member districts to create new programs in the least restrictive setting.
